We are very pleased to announce that plans for the 47th annual Youth Leadership Congress are well under way.  The 2010 Youth Leadership Congress will be held on the campus of the University of Wisconsin–River Falls, July 7–9.  As usual, a few changes have been made to the program that hopefully will improve it.  This year’s conference will include:

• An  interactive session on ”The Cooperative Difference” led by Dr. David Trechter

• S.O.S. Players, the unique and versatile acting troupe from Hudson

• Craig Hillier’s presentation on “Breakthrough Leadership”

• AJ, the Animated Illusionist

• Team Building activities led by Jim Tangen-Foster

• Learning sessions relating to college life, alternative energy, careers in cooperatives, and cooperative’s role in the community

• An Etiquette Dinner (replaces the talent show)

• A Hotline Demonstration

• Touchstone Energy’s Discovery Map Workshop

Attached you will find materials that will assist you in promoting the Youth Congress.  The registration form, medical release form, and essay contest rules are also enclosed. Please note that all registration forms must be sent to the Outreach and Graduate Studies Office by June16.  The registration fee for the conference is $235 per person.  We believe this is an excellent value for a quality conference. It’s up from a year ago due to increased food and lodging costs.
