Vernon Electric Cooperative, Westby, Wisc.—is broadening our Member Service department. We are seeking a full-time, Communications Specialist to lead member and employee engagement, work collaboratively with staff, develop, and implement strategic marketing plans to help the Cooperative achieve its objectives with members, non-members, and association partners.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field required. One to two years of relevant experience preferred. Applicant must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to manage tasks in a timely manner with limited supervision. Must have exceptional communication; written, verbal, and presentation skills, proficient in MS Office and software programs that produce web/digital/print publications. Capable of supporting and executing communication plans and campaigns that advance company goals and drive business objectives forward. To be successful in this role you must demonstrate a commitment to member service.
