CONTACT SPECIALIST - ECE

A Day in the Life

  • Respond to member inquiries by telephone, electronic, or written correspondence.
  • Coordinate with, and advise members of, available community resources.
  • Work with a dynamic team to promote cooperative programs, including ECE Fiber.
  • Enter outage information and follow up with members to verify power restoration.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, plus a minimum of two years’ customer service experience; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
Specialized Knowledge
  • Understand the Public Utilities Commission regulations and laws that relate to data privacy and cold-weather disconnects.
  • Follow red flag rules and PCI compliance laws to protect and secure information.
  • Perform moderately complex mathematical computations.
  • Comprehend Microsoft Office and office equipment.
Skills/Abilities
  • Clearly communicate ideas and facts in a manner that enhances the reputation of ECE.
  • Possess a high level of integrity and respect and maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain composure in stressful situations.

The starting hourly wage for this position would be $20.66 per hour. This is a non-exempt (hourly), non-supervisory, onsite position at Braham, MN Headquarters. After the training period and upon meeting certain criteria (such as job performance and having a reliable internet connection), this position may be eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements.
