EDUCATION

With more than 1,000 participants attending the Wisconsin Electric Cooperative Association’s education programs each year, it’s clear that our members place a high priority on employee, director, and youth education.
 
WECA offers a full suite of education programs including:

  • Supervisor and Manager Development programs that are focused on strengthening leadership skills and knowledge needed to hire, develop, lead others, manage performance, communicate effectively, and make sound decisions.
     
  • Credentialed Cooperative Director (CCD) and Board Leadership Certificate (BLC) series programs that provide electric cooperative board directors with a firm understanding of their fiduciary duties, focus on key issues and trends in the electric industry, and provide a solid base of knowledge to help directors fulfill their leadership responsibilities
     
  • Youth Education programs that focus on our future leaders with a curriculum that is focused on leadership development, communication skills, cooperative business acumen and opportunities to perfect these talents as Wisconsin’s electric cooperative youth ambassadors.


Associate Membership

Associate membership in the Wisconsin Electric Cooperative Association provides a continuing opportunity for providers of goods, services, materials, and equipment to build and maintain networking contacts with Wisconsin's electric co-ops and others with interests and needs related to all aspects of the electric power industry.
