OSHA 10-Hour Course

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
RESAP recommended training program FOR SUPERVISORS (inside & outside employees) with a strong emphasis on the electric utility industry.

This OSHA 10-Hour General Industry course is specific to the electric utility sector. The training will incorporate OSHA power standards (1910.269). Since this course is tailored specifically for the electric power industry, it will include topics and content not found in typical OSHA 10-hour courses. Participants who complete the course will receive a certificate of completion as well as an OSHA pocket card. The course will be delivered by an OSHA Training Institute (OTI) instructor and will include the following topics:
  • Introduction to OSHA
  • Hazard Prevention & Control
  • Walking & Working Surfaces
  • Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention and Fire Protection
  • Fall Protection for Electric Utilities (1910.269)
  • Personal & Electrical Protective Equipment
  • Hazard Communication/Health Hazards
  • Minimum Approach Distances (1910.269)
  • Information Sharing (1910.269)
  • Job Briefings (1910.269)
  • Protection from Flames & Electric Arcs (1910.269)
  • De-energizing Lines and Equipment for Employee Protection (Switching & Tagging) (1910.269)

*In order to hold this course, a minimum enrollment of 20 participants is required. Class is limited to NO MORE than 40 participants per OSHA standar rules. Register early to secure your seat!
This is an ECLIPSE approved ELECTIVE course. Anyone can take this course and is not limited to ECLIPSE participants.
