Transformative Leadership: Inspiring Ownership and Engagement
A Workshop for Cooperative Leaders
Instructed by Mitch Majeski, Peak Solutions
1-3/4 Skill Builder Credits

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Cooperative CEOs/GMs, management, and anyone else you feel would benefit from this class. We encourage team members to attend together.

In times of rapid change, the expectations on leaders shift. Old habits of control and compliance are no longer sufficient—especially if work feels routine, siloed, hierarchical, or slow to change. If we want ownership, collaboration, and productive engagement, leadership must become more intentional and transformative.

This one-day workshop is built for co-op managers and CEOs who are ready to move beyond traditional command-and-control methods. Together, we’ll explore three practical frameworks that help leaders lead with clarity, character, and courage:

1. Leadership vs. Management
  • We’ll clarify the distinction between leading and managing—when each is needed, and what happens when they’re confused.
  • Participants will discuss the Leadership and Management Matrix to diagnose what’s required of you right now: to establish reliable order, or to disrupt to create new opportunities.
2. The Integrity Model
  • We’ll examine how leaders make decisions—whether they’re reacting from fear, ego, or duty, or choosing from a place of clarity, principle, and integrity.
  • You’ll reflect on your current paradigm and how to lead in a way that invites the best from those around you.
3. Beyond Command and Control
  • We’ll look at practical ways to foster ownership, distributed leadership, and collaborative decision-making.
  • You’ll walk away with concrete practices to build trust and engage your team in meaningful, productive ways.
By the end of the workshop, participants will:
  • Reflect on their own leadership tendencies and shift toward integrity-driven influence
  • Learn to pivot intentionally between managing day-to-day operations and providing visionary leadership
  • Practice language and strategies that move teams from compliance to intentional contribution
Whether your cooperative is anticipating disruption or looking to refine its operations, this workshop will help you lead with greater effectiveness—and bring out the best in others.
This is an ECLIPSE approved ELECTIVE course. Anyone can take this course and is not limited to ECLIPSE participants.
