HR Professionals Workshop
1-3/4 Skill Builder Credits

HR issues that are crucial to your co-op’s future will be addressed at the ever-popular open forum and legal update. The open forum provides the opportunity to discuss new HR concerns and assist in solving issues you may be experiencing. A legal update will focus on new and changing matters as well as provide information on issues that attorneys are seeing more often.  Agenda topics will be determined early in 2025. Below are two topics already planned:

Civility in the Workplace
  • What does it mean to have civility in the workplace, how does our co-op adopt the concept, and what is the role of HR in the execution of it?
  • In 2024, a craze swept social media about being mindful and demure. Does that concept fit in the workplace?
  • Describe and discuss key attributes of civility and how our cooperative can value and prioritize these attributes.
T-Shape Leadership Style
  • With the amount of change in the industry and inside of our cooperatives, this will provide a backdrop and details about ways we can support our workforce broadening their understanding of our overall cooperative, while also being an expert in their daily profession.
  • What is T-shaped leadership and how do we encourage our managers and supervisors to adopt this approach within their leadership style?
  • Apply the concepts of T-shaped leadership to a discussion with your peers about ways we can integrate this effective way of strengthening the foundational understanding across our cooperative.
Other Topics TBD Early 2025
