MANAGER OF FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING

Chippewa Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC), Cornell, Wisc. is an electric power distribution utility located in Cornell, WI only 30 miles northeast of the city of Chippewa Falls in the beautiful Chippewa Valley. CVEC is a proud member of our community that provides power and services to 7,800 members within the Chippewa, Rusk, Taylor, Barron, and Dunn counties. In 2017, CVEC joined forces with Citizens Connected to create Ntera. The Ntera mission is to provide homes and businesses with fiber-fast internet, video, and voice services to underserved areas throughout the Chippewa Valley.

This position’s primary responsibility is to lead the finance and accounting function and participate as a valued member of the leadership team. Major areas of responsibility include financial analysis and reporting, cash management and payroll, accounts payable, annual budgeting and variance analysis, RUS/CFC loan management and reporting, financial audits, and work-order accounting.

The successful candidate will possess strong financial analysis and accounting skills, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, in addition to excellent team and leadership skills. We are looking for an extensive background in finance and accounting (at least five years in accounting or finance in progressively more responsible positions) with experience in the utility sector a plus. A minimum of a two-year degree in accounting or finance is required and a four-year degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
